Hi, I’m Stephanie Cleary.
I help families slow down, put down their phones (even for a minute), reconnect with real occurrences, and navigate the challenges of raising children in today’s fast-paced world.
Life is intense, how to parent can be uncertain. That is why I am here, to help look at the intensities and find certainty in what we observe and where to go from there.
My work is rooted in a simple understanding: parenting is not about perfection and it should not be done alone. Connection creates thriving. All parents struggle. All children struggle. The smiling faces on Instagram are mostly, fake. Social media, is not connection.
Parenting is about learning to meet ourselves, our children, and each moment with greater awareness, acceptance, curiosity, and presence.
When we slow down enough to truly listen, we drop the judgement which once created walls and we begin to embrace life as it is. We begin to respond instead of react. We discover our innate clarity, connection, compassion and love.
My Journey
I’m Stephanie Cleary. I grew up in Queens, New York, within the intensity of city life and my grandparents’ garden two feet away from a freeway; a life lesson in balance was quietly unfolding. In the garden, where eighteen-wheelers whizzed by within earshot, I learned to slow down and notice the subtler rhythms of life: the perfection of nature, the need to nurture and tend, and the equally important practice of stepping back to see the bigger picture, even when chaos is occurring simultaneously. This was the beginning of understanding that we do not need perfect circumstances to live with peace, engagement, and introspection.
One of my first yoga teachers used to say, “If you can meditate in New York, you can meditate anywhere.”
If I can find peace while sirens and trucks move in every direction, I realized, anyone can.
From early on, I was curious about people and what shapes the way we experience life. My deepest wish was to help others, even as I was learning to help myself.
That interest led me into decades of study and practice in yoga, meditation, contemplative traditions, and approaches to human development, alongside many years of supporting individuals and families in a guiding and coaching capacity.
Over time, my work has become focused on helping parents slow down, see more clearly, and meet life as it is; with presence, steadiness, and care. I wish for parents to drop self-judgment, become more confident in who they are as parents and individuals, and begin to enjoy both life and parenthood more fully.
